Ever since ISRO lost contact with Vikram Lander, NASA was trying to locate its wreck without success, Indian engineer Shanmuga Subramanian helped the US space agency to locate the wreck.
Shanmuga Subramanian told IANS, "It was somewhat challenging because NASA was not even detected, so we try why can't we?" And it is an idea that inspired me to search for Vikram Lander. "
Equipped with just his laptop, Subramanian said that he worked for seven hours every day in his Chennai apartment in his mission to locate the lander. “I limited my search to 2 square kilometers. I used only one laptop and searched all the images, ”he said. He walked through the image, looking pixel by pixel and found the location.
On 3 October, they noticed a white dot 750 meters away from the proposed landing site, not earlier than the landing date. He was convinced that it belonged to Vikram-Lander, and he tweeted about it the same day.

"I had a simultaneous comparison of those two images on my two laptops ... on one side was the old image, and on the other was the new image released by NASA," he told a news agency. In this way, Shanmuga Subramaniam became the first to come up with the positive identification of the Vikram Lander debris.
